The Waste Water Plant accepts the city's waste water and cleans it in accordance to state and federal regulations for safe release back into the environment.
Wastewater Plant
In 2017, Wastewater Superintendent, Dennis Gumbert, made this presentation to the Lawrence County Smoke-Free Coalition about the effects of cigarette waste on wastewater plants. This presentation has now been used by coalitions in multiple counties, including Gallia County, to educate others on those effects.
