Projects
There are lots of great projects happening in Ironton from new restaurants and business ventures to the construction of the new riverfront.
Bridge construction was completed in 2016 and the new Ironton-Russell Bridge opened on November 23, 2016.
Another ongoing project is the development of the riverfront, which will include a marina and walking trails among the amenities.
The Gateway Center Project is another project that Ironton is very excited about. Included in this project is a Holiday Inn Express that opened in December 2014 and Big Boy.
The Gateway Center, once completed, will serve as an area where visitors can lodge, shop, and dine. The Holiday Inn Express and the Big Boy restaurant currently occupy the area with more construction for additional businesses to take place in the future.
In 2017, it was announced that a $15 million Marriot would be constructed near the site of the current Holiday Inn Express and Suites. The project is in the beginning phases.
