Parks

Ironton is home to a number of parks in the midst of residential areas, giving children and families designated areas to play, have picnics, make friends, and so much more. In addition to playground equipment, some of our parks are equipped with basketball courts and tennis courts so that there is something for individuals of all ages to enjoy.  READ MORE

Entertainment

Ironton hosts a number of events throughout the year that includes entertainment and activities for every age group. The RO-NA, located in the heart of Ironton's downtown, is the center of entertainment for the city. Built in 1949, the RO-NA closed in 1972 and was officially reopened in 2014 as a multi-purpose performing arts center, making it one of the few of its kind. READ MORE

Wayne National Forest

Wayne National Forest is located approximately eight miles outside of Ironton along State Route 93. It is here where visitors can enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, boating, and swimming. At Lake Vesuvius, located within WNF, individuals can rent boats, walk the paved trail to the popular Rock House, pitch a tent or hook up their RV for a weekend or week of camping, or visit the beach for a day of swimming and fun. Events and Festivals

There are a number of major events hosted by Ironton throughout the year. The first is the Memorial Day Parade, which is the oldest continuously running Memorial Day parade in the country, and all of the events in the days leading up to the big parade. We also host Rally on the River in August, Taste of Ironton in June, the Ohio River Wine Festival in September, the Ironton Heritage Festival in October, and a number of other events throughout the year.

Sports

There are a number of youth sporting leagues in Ironton. There is the Ironton Little League starts youngsters out with T-ball and prepares them for baseball and softball at the Jr. High and high school levels. Ironton also has little league football and soccer.
