Taste of Ironton

Taste of Ironton is an event organized by Ironton aLive. It is the opportunity for people to experience Ironton's food offerings in one place. The event takes place in June of each year in Farmer's Market Square and averages between 14 and 20 restaurants, caterers, and bakers.

Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade

The longest continuously running Memorial Day Parade in the country, the Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade attracts tens of thousands of people to the streets of Ironton on the last Monday of every May, Memorial Day. CLICK HERE to read more about this historical parade.

St. Joe Charity Fair

The St. Joe Charity Fair is held the last weekend in May by the Ironton Catholic Schools to raise money for the schools. The event is complete with vendors, inflatables, music, and lots of fun. The event can be found in the area of 6th and Quincy Street.

Farmer's Market

The Farmer's Market begins in May and ends in October at the Farmer's Market building on 2nd and Vernon Street. There are many quality vendors that sell their crafts, produce, baked goods, and other items at the Farmer's Market, making it a staple within the City of Ironton every Friday and Saturday during market months from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Ironmaster Days

Ironmaster Days is held the third weekend in June and explores some of Ironton's heritage. A tractor show and other events are held during the weekend.

Rally on the River

Rally on the River is a major event held the third weekend in August. Bikers from all over the country come to this event to enjoy everything Ironton has to offer from restaurants and vendors to a weekend of music from a number of mainstream acts. Camping is available. Lodging for Rally on the River 2015 will be available at the new Holiday Inn Express in the Gateway Center.

Ghost Walk

Ghost enthusiasts, cemetery enthusiasts, and those who love history will enjoy the Ghost Walk through Woodland Cemetery that is held the last Saturday in September by the Lawrence County Historical Society. The walk consists of actors from within the community who portray Ironton's most well-known historical figures. John Campbell, Dr. Lowry, and Nannie Kelly Wright (the only known woman ironmaster) are just some of the figures you will encounter.

Haunted Tunnel

The Lion's Club conducts the Haunted Tunnel every weekend in October in the old Route 75 tunnel located where U.S. 52 and Route 93 intersect across from the Hills Shopping Center. For years, the tunnel has brought thrills and chills to all who walk through it and brave what it has in store.

Historic Church Tour

The historic church tour is held the first Saturday in December and takes a look at the historic churches throughout Ironton. This is the perfect event for those who love history or structures with amazing architecture.

Ohio River Wine Festival

The Ohio River Wine Festival is an Ironton aLive event that brings local and visiting wine enthusiasts together. The event features Ohio wineries offering multiple samples. The event takes place at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

Ro-Na Theater

The Ro-Na Theater, operated by Friends of Ironton, has become an entertainment hub for the city. Wrestling events, concerts, Dr. Dekay's House of Screams, and plays make up some of what keeps the Ro-Na hopping. Find out more at www.ro-na.net. 

Ironton Heritage Festival & Artisan Car Show

The Ironton Heritage Festival is an Ironton aLive event held in the middle of October. It features handmade goods from artisans and crafters locally and from far and wide. More than 20 vendors participate each year right next to a very full and busy Farmer's Market. The car show features unique cars from all around the Tri-State and beyond.
